Written by Skyler Mehal and Nick Foster, ‘Lost In The Weeds’ was just that- a song lost in the shuffle of ‘Rise’ and ‘Fireside: Vol. 1’ sessions in 2016. Recorded to tape live with Brandon Busch at Sound Media Productions by Nick Foster and Matthew Rieger, the song didn’t quite match the sonic character of either of those two projects recorded around the same time at different studios. But after some beautiful harmony work by Courtney Marie Andrews, it was mixed by Brandon Busch and mastered along with some other ‘Rise’ b-sides by Ed Brooks at Resonant Mastering in Seattle, WA. After its winding journey, this archival song now sees the light of day as a part of the Fireside project. Cover art by Nick Foster.
