This third full-length effort by the Nick Foster Band was recorded mostly live at Strange Earth Studios in March of 2020, immediately preceding an unplanned global band hiatus of about two years. Engineered and produced by Bradley Laina. Produced and mixed by Brandon Busch. Mastered by Ed Brooks at Resonant Mastering. All songs written by Nick Foster including ‘Something Like Music’ with Stephanie Anne Johnson, ‘Right Now’ with the whole band, ‘Young and Broken’ with Annie Jantzer, ‘Holding On To Secrets’ with Luke Abbott, and ‘Time Come Back Around’ with Kara Hesse. Performed by Nick Foster, Sklyler Mehal, Annie Jantzer, Tom Noble, Matt Strutynski, and Charles Wicklander. Design by Nick Foster. Photography by Ernie Sapiro. This record would not have been possible without Matthew Blount helping out with my then 4-month old son, Earl in the studio. It was awesome to get to have the whole family there and be able to make art with Annie as a new mom and dad- thank you, Matt! I’d also like to thank Ken Lapworth for joining us in the studio to document the process. And to remember my mother Cecilia (who I could never fully thank,) for insisting on “secretly” paying for a day of this studio session and writing me a letter of support anticipating it might be her last chance to contribute to my music- something she actively did my entire life and will always do. This is for her, for my wife Annie who I married while writing these songs, my son Earl who was born while finishing these songs, and for the friends and family that shared the chapter of life this album bookmarks and is a record of. Made in Seattle, WA.
