Talk Soon: Vol. 1 is ten songs written and recorded over the course of about two studio days August 4th-6th in the summer of 2021 by Jacob Navarro, Matthew Rieger, and Nick Foster in Anacortes, WA. The idea was to retreat, and make some music, but mostly hang with old and new friends. The songs were written in conversation while catching up, over a meal, or as microphones were being placed. The workflow and resulting collection set the collaborative tone and method of gathering people to share space, create, and connect for the project that would become Talk Soon. And that became the ethos, to bring people together that spark, share a brief intensive time together, capture some of that lightning in a bottle, and to build a catalog of the mementos.
This first volume was engineered by Jacob Navarro, mixed by Luke Dumke, mastered by Brandon Busch, and has cover art by Nick Foster.
